power looks like..

Purpose

A studio built on the belief that movement can change lives.

Powerhouse began with a simple belief: movement should challenge you, support you, and leave you stronger than when you walked in.

After more than two decades in the fitness industry, I had experienced countless workouts and training methods. But what stayed with me wasn't just the results; it was the feeling of belonging to a community that inspired me to keep showing up.

I realized the experience that changed my life didn't exist here. That's why I built Powerhouse.

A boutique studio where exceptional coaching, intentional movement, and meaningful community come together to help people build strength for life.

I never set out to own a fitness studio.

I set out to create a place where people could feel stronger, healthier, and genuinely connected.

That vision became Powerhouse.

Founder & Owner | Powerhouse Fitness

Marissa Wilson is passionate about building businesses, developing leaders, creating community, and designing spaces where people can thrive.

With more than 20 years in the health and fitness industry, Marissa has dedicated her career to helping people build strength, confidence, and healthier lives through intentional movement. Her passion for wellness has led her to pursue extensive education in yoga, Pilates, Lagree, barre, personal training, and integrative health coaching. Before opening Powerhouse Fitness in 2020, she helped launch and develop boutique fitness studios, gaining invaluable experience in leadership, operations, instructor development, and creating exceptional member experiences.

Marissa believes exceptional experiences are never accidental. They are intentionally designed. That philosophy extends far beyond fitness. She holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Interior Architecture (MIA), combining strategic leadership with thoughtful design to create environments where people feel inspired, welcomed, and connected. Outside the studio, she enjoys collaborating with clients on interior design projects, specializing in custom millwork and cabinetry.

As a mother of three, Marissa understands the importance of balancing career, family, and personal wellness. Her own journey into fitness began after becoming a new mom while searching for a way to regain her confidence and feel like herself again. That experience continues to shape the way she leads Powerhouse Fitness today, with empathy, authenticity, and a commitment to helping every member feel stronger than when they arrived.

Giving back has always been an important part of Marissa's life. As a former Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), she advocated for children in the foster care system, reinforcing her belief that meaningful change begins with compassion, connection, and showing up for others.

Today, Marissa leads Powerhouse Fitness with a simple philosophy. Great workouts build strong bodies. Great communities build confident people. Through intentional coaching, meaningful relationships, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, she continues to grow a brand that is truly More Than Movement.

"We didn't build a studio. We built the place we wished existed."
